A Spanish-English dictionary (Oxford, University of Chicago, American Heritage, Collins). Pocket and regular book-size dictionaries are not sufficient for this course. Do not use on-line dictionaries. Spanish 226 is an intermediate language course that prepares the student to take advanced courses in whichever of the disciplines offered by the Spanish Department. It is a review and consolidation of Spanish grammar and vocabulary necessary for beginning to write research papers. Language practice encompasses the four basic language skills and will engage the student in oral and listening activities, as well as in reading, written exercises, and compositions. During class it is expected that each student participate in Spanish on a daily basis . Students are encouraged to seek help outside of class time to prepare course material from the resources available to all classmates: One-on-one tutorials with the instructor, GUTS tutoring and/or Department Tutors. Assistance from anyone apart from the course instructor, a GUTS tutor or a Department Tutor on any aspect of coursework results in a disadvantage for other students and is prohibited as academically dishonest. If you would like to seek outside help from one of these resources, contact your instructor. Note that tutors are available to help you understand course material, not to complete course requirements such as homework, compositions or other written exercises. Assistance from anyone apart from the course instructor on any written exercise is prohibited as a disadvantage to other students and academically dishonest.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
