Environmental Color Color is a gift of evolution and an inherited characteristic for the survival of vegetation and human life Color in Nature Vegetation is colored and shaped to offer the strongest attraction for particular insects and birds to pollinate Color in Culture Symbolism and Associations Color Color is merely the phenomenon of its perception, but embedded as a code in our memory We use colorful metaphors to express feelings: Green with envy White as a ghost Roll out the red carpet Being caught red handed Having the blues Culture and Color Symbolism Red is the color of blood and thus relates to life itself. It is associated with fire and energy. Catholicism Forbidden in Africa Weddings in China and India Flowers in United States Green is the color of nature in most cultures. It is the color of hope, healing, rejuvenation, organic and fertility. Flags in Islam Women’s Clothing Catholicism Sickness Blue is symbolic for calmness, peace, truth, dignity and royalty.
