Human Ecology Current Event Chapter 5 Summary This article which talk about new research discovered by Rockefeller University is closely linked with Chapter 5 of the human ecology discipline. They discovered that when a cell goes through a positive-feedback system it “ensures that a cell that has made the decision to divide finishes what it has started.” It is very important for cells to be able to divide probably if not they die. It sustains the system to continue running. Considering that the division of a cell is a very hard process this new breakthrough allows the cells “to adapt to changes in their environment rapidly and efficiently.” How the cell is able to do that is by the help of two specific molecules called Cln1 and Cln2. Because of their size they are able to identify a potential match to divide. This process creates a positive feedback system. In addition, it is important to mention that this process starts at the very early stage of the division of the cells. Without the early
