Due to this diversity, the American culture has various impacts on the people living in the country. It is for this reason that multiple writers took their time to write about their experiences in the country. Some of them include Zitkala-Sa who was a native American and Jose Marti who was a Spaniard. Zitkala-Sa wrote a story “The School Days of an Indian Girl” in which she uses her personal firsthand experience to explain what happened to her due to her different culture. On the other hand, Marti wrote a story entitled “Impressions of America” in which he explains his encounter during his early days in the United States. Therefore, this essay seeks to demonstrate the impact of American culture on Americans, immigrants, and outsiders through comparing arguments by the two authors.
