ASSESSMENT 1 1. Emotional Intelligence Reflection To know and understand more of my own emotional intelligence, I used two different tools which are SWOT analysis and online emotional intelligence test. Using SWOT analysis, I have list down the following: Positive Shy Promotion Sickness Calm Lack of Salary Increase Lean Season Loyalty Confidence Motivated The result of the online intelligence test is attached below: 2. Personal Stressors and Negative Emotional State at Work Unmanageable Workload - This happened when a co-worker gets off work early and leave his responsibilities to me. At first I didn't mind thinking there was some sort of an emergency, but he kept doing it all the time so I approach the co-worker and explained to him that I can't do all the jobs at the same time. Schedule - When the manager suddenly cross out a day on my schedule without telling me. It never happened to me but the possible result would be ending up showing up at work without knowing that it was cancelled. So to make sure that it won't really happen, I always check the schedule posted before I leave the workplace. Dealing with Customers - When the customers complain about the food taking too long to serve. This result to negative customer satisfaction. To resolve the issue, I talk to the customer respectfully and apologize and ensure that the food will be served shortly. 3. Causes or Triggers The two causes or triggers of my own personal emotional states at work are stress and pressure. Whenever I found out that my co-worker is gone early I get stressed. I have to come up with a plan to finish my duties and his at the same time. The idea gives a lot of pressure to me. Since I am aware that I am calm by nature, I stop for a minute and think and sorted the

tasks according to their priorities and just do the work that are really necessary on that day. The next day, I talked to my co-worker and discussed with him how his actions affect me. 4. Modelling Workplace Behaviours An example I had with modelling workplace behaviours was anxiety/nervousness when I was given a new and responsibility at work. I wasn't sure how I can managed as it is a very busy station and have to learn everything fast. But since everyone were very supportive and believes in me, it helped me boost my confidence and I focused on the things I need to learn.
