Resolved by the National Committee and Council, That no person or persons whatsoever, shall be permitted to settle and make improvements within the distance of one fourth of a mile of the field or plantation of another, without the consent or approbation of such resident person, under the penalty of forfeiting the whole of their labour for the benefit of the origi- nal resident.
