QUESTIONS AND BRIEF ANSWERS 2 Questions and Brief Answers Do you think there will be enough water for food production in the future? Yes or No? Explain your answer and what can be done to improve this situation. Without water, life would be non-existent as it forms part of our basic commodity (World Water Council, 2000). As it is now, there is not enough water to meet the growing demand to sustain human, animal and plant life. We need drastic changes in the manner in which our water is managed and conservation of existing sources. Technology will not work unless there is behavioral change. Water polluters need to be held accountable and obligated to safeguard the environment. New ways of conserving and re- using water should be conceived. Traditional water sources such as rainwater should be tapped in modern biotechnological ways. All this can be achieved if there is political good will by all world leaders starting right from the community level (FAO, CGIAR, CBD & Ramsar, n.d.). This will ensure policies and decisions on proper resource management are implemented. If you are living in a rural community, and you have been asked to make sure that the water is safe for drinking, what are the necessary steps needed to achieve that goal?

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
