Week 2 Assignment – Medical MarijuanaThere are many people in America who might benefit from the legalization of medical marijuana. The medical uses of the drug greatly outweigh the negative effects, both in number and in potency, and it has the ability to greatly improve the quality of life of those who could use it. I am drawing this argument from . There are many commonly known aspects of the drug marijuana, such as appetite gain and pain relief, but there are quite a few misconceptions about its potential harm. Almost all available drugs in America, both prescription and over the counter, have the potential for negative side effects which can be easily found by research or by asking the prescribing official. Due to the versatility of the drug many of these effects could potentially be avoided. One of the leading arguments against medical marijuana is that it has a negative effect on the raspatory system because of the damage from smoke inhalation.
