What is the stumbling block? Is it the existence of a parallel language or can the  algorithm be parallelized? Professor looking for answer like this (so he could tell Truman story): On one hand if you do this, this would happen, on the other hand, this would  happen. Story about Truman and the bomb:  Searching for advice from his advisors, he got  a lot of answers that were “on one hand, and on the other,” so he called the  attorney general to his office and asked him if he could hire some one-handed
