April 23, 2007 Dr. Gleam, May All Your Problems Be Light, LLC. 345 Light Way Dear President Gleam, In response to your request for a new illuminating product, I am submitting several files of drawings of one of my designs for a desk lamp. I am sending a multiview drawing of this lamp, as well as two perpendicular cross-sections of the lamp. This particular lamp I call the CD Illuminator. It is a powerful desk lamp that doubles as a CD tower which holds more than a dozen standard sized compact disc cases, including one large, two-disc case. The lampshade is made of the same aluminum, meaning the direct light is only in a downward direction, giving a sort of spotlight feel. The shade is easily removable in the case that this feature is undesired. Also, the bulb is easily accessible, making for very easy replacement.
