Question no. 1 (s..b.Qtt answer questions) is compulsory. Start each of the 4 questions on a new page. (ii) Question no. 1 carries 40 marks. Other 4 questions carry 20 marks each. (iii) Candidates may use any self-contained, silent, battery-operated and pocket-sized calculator. The calculator should have numeral-display facilities only and should be used only for the purposes of calculation. lt is the candidate's responsibility to ensure that his calculator operates satisfactorily. (A) Name 3 organs or systems of our body that are highly susceptible to radiation damage. (B) For practical protection purposes, working areas may be classified into supervised areas and controlled areas. Distinguish these two areas. (C) If a designated radiation worker is working close to a contaminated surface, how could the radioactive material deliver a radiation dose to the body of this worker? (D) What are the three principles which may be applied for the disposal of radioactive wastes. (E) Specify the conditions of a radioactive package which requires a category 1-White label for transportation?
