Research Design and SamplingIn social work, social workers come across a very diverse client base any many different concerns. Many at times social workers have to recommend services and programs that will help address the clients needs. Using social work theories and hypothesis are based upon research studies completed by individuals who have questioned the behaviors of individuals or a phenomenon. The results of research studies provide social workers with supportive evidence to move forward in treatment with care plans, diagnosis, and a foundation to find the root cause of the problems clients deal with daily.In this paper I will review the sampling and research method of an article. The article I chose was “Does Father Absence Place Daughters at Special Risk for Early Sexual Activity and Teenage Pregnancy?” written by Ellis, Bates, Dodge, Fergusson, Hornwood, Petit, and Woodward (n.d.). in this article the article the researchers explored whether absent fathers in a home had a relation to teen pregnancy and sexual behaviors in a girls adolescence.
