Module 1 Discussion 09/26/2018 Based upon Jyothi Sampat ’s love story, I would say that she is at the beginning a little bit afraid because of arranged marriage. When she was younger she was worried if her family will find her husband which she will really like and fall in love with. Her mom tells her that love comes after marriage, but I feel like Jyothi were still very suspicious about that. When she met her future husband Praveen at the beginning she was worried if she will like him or not, but after few phone calls they make a really good connection and when they meet in person she starts to like him even more, she knew he’s the one. I think Jyothi it’s a really good example of how compromise in marriage it’s very important. When they get married and moved to Phoenix Praveen let her use his credit cards and he was in charge for financial status, at the same time Jyothi didn’t take advantage of all of that, instead, she wants to make Praveen’s life more comfortable so she cooked, cleaned or she was doing laundry. I feel like, even though it was arranged marriage they were meant to be. Praveen seems from the beginning like a nice man and a gentleman. I like how he talks to her and how he is willing to try to not eat meat just because Jyothi’s want’s that. He shows me with that act how much he cares about his wife Jyothi. I like the most when Jyothi asked Parveen about why he never dated girls before and he replays to her because I never found someone as beautiful as you. That very kind and generous of him. Jyothi seems very happy and satisfied in her marriage. She starts to really like Praveen already through phone calls and even more when they first met. She likes to do stuff with her husband. From go to the mall, dinners or hanging out with friends. They

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
