Goals Adapted from Meyer’s “Attitude is Everything” & Gard ner and Barefoot’s “Your College Experience: Strategies for Success” S pecific M easurable A ttainable R elevant T ime-Bound S pecific Your goal must be as detailed as possible. Be sure to answer the six “W” questions: Who: Who does my goal involve? What: What do I want to accomplish with my goal? Where: Where might I need to go to complete my goal? When: When will I complete (or work on) my goal? Which: Which part of my goal may pose the most concern? How? Why: Why am I completing this goal? M easurable Establish concrete criteria for measuring progress toward the fulfillment of each goal you set. To determine if your goal is measurable, ask questions such as…. How much? How many? How will I know when it is accomplished? What specific tool will I use to measure completion? A ttainable You must have the attitudes, abilities, skills, and financial capacity to attain your goals.
