As years pass on the demand to use technology becomes greater across the world. Technology has help revolutionized the world, by increasing the speed of time in our daily lives. Technology has brought many advantages to better the lives of the people that use it and revolutionized the online capabilities beyond what we imagined. The development of mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets has brought the capabilities of accessing the internet to the palm of the user’s hand, any place in the world that the device can receive a signal to do so. Once internet started to incorporate online shopping as a feature for consumers to use, the e-commerce model was developed to describe the transactions occurring through online shopping. M-commerce is the model used on mobile devices to conduct the same transactions. Online sales take away the physical interaction between the customer and retailers, making it harder for the company to convince the customer to use their products over a competitor. To help companies with this challenge, search engine optimization (SEO) was developed to improve and aid businesses in sales over online shopping. This case study will inform on the importance that mobile SEO has on a success of an online business and how it should be an essential tool used in today’s m- ecommerce.
