WAY TO SUCCEED 2 EDUCATIONAL PATH My name is Hong An Tran, I used to live in Viet Nam. At present, I have been living in Katy, Texas for over 1 year and I am currently a student at Houston Community College. Since English is not my first language, in addition to my accent, I’m still struggling with English now. As the time passes, I hope my English will be enhanced despite of my age, with the reason to pursue my future career. Speaking about careers, I’m going to be a pharmacist in the future and I have a lot of advantages since compulsory subjects, for instance, math, chemistry, and physics, all of which I am confident. As a freshman of the college, I spend time logically to research for useful and detailed information, to create a milestone step by step, and to keep my study on track without hesitation. Here is a list of every integral part of my career I have scrutinized below here. According to the Occupational Outlook Handbook (2017), the median annual wage for pharmacists was $124,000 per year. “Employment of pharmacists is projected to grow 6 percent from 2016 to 2026, about as fast as the average for all occupations. Increased demand for prescription medications will lead to more demand for pharmaceutical services”. Pharmacists dispense prescription medications to patients and offer expertise in the safe use of prescriptions. They also may conduct health and wellness screenings, provide immunizations, oversee the medications given to patients, and provide advice on healthy lifestyles. Pharmacists must have a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.), a 4-year professional degree. They must also be licensed, which requires passing two exams. As stated by the resource from Ferguson's Career Guidance Center (2018), pharmacists earned a median yearly income of $121,500. “ The U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) predicts that
