Rhode Island says it is illegal because they weren’t present, but the 12 states continue without them. Some people think that this convention is legal. Some wonder if this document is a subversion; if it betrays what people have been fighting for. The reason they ignore this is because many of them have a nationalist view. Revision/nationalist view They have a view of a country called The United States of America, one country and not individual states. Nationalist were the most influential at the convention. The major players were Madison and Hamilton. Thomas Jefferson wasn’t there because he was an ambassador in Paris, France. James Madison/Alexander Hamilton Hamilton is a Rep of New York. He was born in the West Indies. He was an illegitament son of a Scottish trader. He’s a genius (Organization and accounting genius). He runs a shipping Scottish trader....
