Chandler Morse 11/03/18 ENGL Prof. Sircy Longer Hours for Hungry Students How many times have you or your student arrived back on campus from work, sports, or  other responsibilities to find out that their source of dinner is closed? In my case, that has  happened to me. Like many students (such as Taylor Matthews, Chandler Ragsdale, and Sye  Watson) on campus, I have a job that hinders me from getting dinner before and after I have to  work because of the schedule. I work at the Easley YMCA as an after-school counselor for  middle schoolers. This is for only students who have jobs off campus, which does not include  other students with responsibilities on/off campus. We are paying thousands of dollars to be here  and yet we can’t even get all 3 of our meals in one day. If we don’t use those meals, we lose  money. They are not overlapping to the next day.  With this, the grill and caf é  need the times to be extended for those students who have  extenuating circumstances. The Warrior Court is open from 8am-9pm Monday-Thursday, and  then 8am-2pm on Friday (swu.edu-Life at SWU). The Dinning Commons is open from 7am-7pm every weekday. With these set times, students with said jobs and responsibilities may or may not  be able to get lunch or dinner.   With the times of the Warrior Court and The Dinning commons, it is now present that  there isn’t enough time for those with jobs to receive dinner. How can we fix it you may ask?

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

I cannot even describe how much Course Hero helped me this summer. It’s truly become something I can always rely on and help me. In the end, I was not only able to survive summer classes, but I was able to thrive thanks to Course Hero.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
