Holocaust Because of World War 2 and the effect it had on Germany, Hitler rose to power and exploited on the impoverished conditions. Hitler had a huge revulsion towards the Jews and speculated on the Final Solution. Hitler’s plan was to dehumanize the prisoners by torture, starvation, and labor yet many survivors never lost their humanity. Hitler planned his plan out carefully making sure that not many jew would find out. He sent them to the ghettos and then shoved them into cattle cars and were taken to different camps. The Jews were dehumanized in many ways through torture. Elie Wiesel states “... I become A-7713. From then on, I had no other name.” (p.42)The one thing that connects a human to his identity is his name, the Jews were forced to be tattooed with numbers on their arm and from thatpoint their name changed, They were also forced to shave off their hair, women who are known for their precious hair were forced as well, stripping them from their identity.
