Different airlines offer different incentives to both new and frequent travellers to retain their market. The survival of an existing airline is far much guaranteed than for an incoming investor. The rivalry among existing factors plays a major role in pushing the price variations in the market, shifting of the markets (flight routes), customer’s loyalty etc. The a foregoing makes the competitor’s rivalry big threat of airline industry survival.
