1Week 7Quality Planningin Project management is the process of identifying the quality standards thatare relevant to the project’s outcomes and determine how the project team can satisfy therelevant quality standards. Quality planning hence can be understood as the planning process ofhow to fulfil the process and product quality requirements of the project.This includes customer’s requirements satisfaction, keeping quality prevention over inspection,management’s quality responsibilities (costs of quality are to be approved by the project’smanagement) and continuous improvement of quality. The tools that can be used for qualityplanning are cost0eefit analysis, control charts, cost of quality, design experiments,benchmarking, statistical sampling, quality management methodologies and flow charting.
