1.Identify and describe three major research methods. For each, identify a strength anda weakness. Give a specific example of each.Research methods are a system of plans for doing research. The plans are conducted on
big part in conducting an experiment because you have to carefully know exactly how much the experiments causes for in order to get the result that you’ll looking for. If the instructions aren’t followed correctly the experiment can result in error. Planting a flower in two different pots to see which one grows faster would be an example of an experiment. The pots would need to be the same size, placed in the same condition whether it’s direct sunlight, temperature and given the same amount of water to grow. One advantage of this experiment would be putting water inthe pots at the same time every day to ensure each plant get the same amount, but a disadvantage and a human error would be forgetting to water one of the flowers because that particular flower is sitting in a different room of the house. That one human mistake could resultin one flower faster than the other. Secondly, surveys would be another research method. Surveys are done to collect information as to what people think or feel.
