After reading the article about Mexicans being deported without being given the chance to prove their legal status, I felt very angry and disgusted about the way that the U.S. treated Mexican American Citizens and non-citizens, and I believe that they should get an apology for it for the unfair treatment that the Mexican Community had experienced. However, the Mexican Repatriation refers to a forced migration that took place between the 1929 and 1939, when as many as one million or more people of Mexican descent were forced to leave the United States. The event that was carried out by American authorities took place without due process. The immigration and Naturalization service targeted Mexicans because of the Proximity of the Mexican border, the physical distinctiveness of mestizos, and easily identifiable barrios. The process of deportation has been around for many years throughout American History. Deportation even happened in the 1930s during the Great Depression when about a million or more people were forced out of their homes without a
