CWV-101 12/16/18 Joe Stanley Benchmark - Gospel Essentials A worldview is a guide as to how individuals live their lives. From birth, the worldviews of mankind are beginning to take shape (Diffy, 2015). An individual can decide how they are living and make their own life choices. There are three basic forms of worldview families, Atheism, Pantheism, and Theism, and with these worldview families there can be different variations (Lecture 1. 2017) Worldviews make men who they are because of what they believe in. A worldview is a framework as to which humanity chooses to live their life, by the beliefs that they hold (Waddle, 2015). There are many different worldviews in today’s society. A Christian has a different world view than those of other religions. Christians believe that God is the almighty and creator. Christians place God first in their lives, this intern creates a different lifestyle than those who do not place God first. There are parts that work together to create the Christian Worldview such as God, Humanity, Jesus, Restoration, Analysis and Reflection. God In the Bible, it is stated that God created the heavens and the earth as well as all of the plants, trees, and all of the animals of the land and sea along with mankind in Gods image (Genesis 1:1 NIV). God is the ultimate creator, and he is a loving God. The Trinity, which is God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit (Lecture 2, 2017). God is selfless because he sent his only son to earth as a man to die for our sins. God wants to reach all of humanity, so they will have the opportunity to live in heaven with him. He sent Jesus to earth to live with man and 1
to die for the sins of mankind. God is full humanity and full divinity. God has all the power and all the wisdom. Humanity Humanity was created in Gods image to help oversee the animals of the land and sea (Genesis 1:26-28). Man was created by God to work in the Garden of Eden. Paul wrote, “Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So, glorify God in your body” (1
