Song Course Description: 02/01/2019 Lecture-02 Page 2 A comprehensive study of a current commercial microprocessor, its architecture and assembly language. Emphasis on (1) the relationship between architecture, assembly language, and system operation, and (2) the relationship between assembly language, high level languages, and operating systems. Prerequisites: CP/PC120 or CP/PC220, CP114 or CP164 Format: a. Lectures Two lectures per week b. Labs -- 1.5 hours lab per week (Lab instructor: David Brown ) c. Assignments Several assignments d. Project -- No project
