BRADEN SCALE •Authors Mallah, Nassar, & Kurdahi Badr conducted a research using Braden scale amongst other intervention to reduce the number of Hospital Acquired Pressure Ulcers (HAPU) •Braden Scale is a tool to asses and score patients risk for pressure ulcers development based on scale that uses activity level, mobility, moisture, friction, and nutritional status •Their findings were positive in reducing the numbers of HAPU occurrences using interventions that included the Braden scale •The Braden scale played an important role in detecting potential HAPU’s and initiating prevention interventions•(Mallah, Nassar, & Kurdahi Badr, 2015)
