Scarlett Skelton Skelton 1 Mrs. Crist English 9 Final Draft The Vengeful Hero Driven to find the man who killed his father, Inigo Montoya becomes the greatest swordfighter. Truly, Inigo is a man on a mission for a noble cause. Even though he is not perfect, he shows courage. Inigo Montoya, the vengeful hero, is different from other characters in the novel because he is extremely determined to seek revenge for his father’s death, a flawed alcoholic and depressed man, but undoubtedly loyal to his friends. Inigo determines to find the man with six fingers, Count Rugen who killed his father. When he was a little boy, he saw his father die in front of his face. Shaken and in grief he decided as a child to become the best swordfighter in the kingdom. Every day he rehearses the words which he would say to his father’s killer -“Hello, my name is Inigo Montoya you killed my father prepare to die” (172). He practices until he thought he is ready. At first, he is over confident. He thinks he is the best and could do anything especially killing Count Rugen.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
