Special topics may include CMOS digitallogic circuits, output stages and power amplifiers, filters, and oscillators. Includes labproblems.Prerequisite:EGR 333 – Electronics I.Course Learning Outcomes:Upon successful completion of this course, students should be able to (corresponding ECEprogram outcomes are listed in parentheses):1.Understand and apply the widely used configurations and techniques in analog ICdesign such as differential amplifiers, cascoding, IC biasing, feedback. (1, 3, 5)2.Analyze and design high frequency BJT and MOSFET amplifiers.(1, 3, 5)3.Understand the characteristics of Op Amps including internal structure, DCimperfections, frequency response, configurations and applications. The laboratory componentinvolves thirteen 2-hour laboratory periods scheduled throughout the semester.Contribution of Course to Meeting the Requirements of the ABET Criterion 5:Knowledge of building blocks and techniques in integrated analog circuits, and skills forintegrated-circuit amplifiers analysis and design.
