The Washwoman by Isaac Bashevis Singer The same Jewish women, that possessed a strength, that came from generations of pleasant forebears. It was a small women of age, that passed her seventy's a wrinkled small women, that would come to pick up our laundry. A women that wouldn't beg for money outside the church. a women with a strong will that kept her going in life. A person that that wanted to carry her own burden in life. The wash women was a lonely women who lived alone, she had a son but the son was embarrass of the old women, a son who got married and didn't even his own mother to his wedding. "Nu, does it pay to make sacrifices for children? the mother uses up her last strength and does not even know the meaning of loyalty" The story about that a mother that gives everything to her son with nothing in return but his love and caring but gets nothing but denial. A women that will work day and night in order to have food on the table and clothing on the son back. A person who thinks about others before herself
