Membership in a Learning Community The decision to begin a DBA degree can intimidating and challenging. As you embark on this journey, there will be a wealth of resources to help you succeed. Some of those resources require commitment from you to reach out to others and gain their feedback, share your story, and learn from one another. Personal Learning Networks (PLNS) help you connect and share information with others (Thompson, 2012). Your PLN will help guide and assist you throughout your scholarly journey in your specified program. Establish New Role To establish my role in the learning community, I plan on utilizing all the resources, tips, and support provided by Walden University. When I attend my residency, I plan on meeting others, exchanging information, and absorbing as much information as I can. The voices of the DBA students video provided me some insight on what to expect during residency (Laureate Education, 2013). The common theme was the abundance of information and people who share a common goal and journey who can potentially relate to your story (Laureate Education, 2013).
