Emma C. HensleyBradley W. EllisonENGL 1301September 10, 2018One could be around a person their entire life and never really know them. Everyone learns to adapt to their surroundings. The many settings one exposes themselves to has the ability to shapeand alter the way one acts. Everyone picks and chooses their way through life, only allowing people to see so much of their true selves. Some would say everyone carries an “evil” side within, a moral deformity perhaps, which is symbolized by the physical deformity of Jekyll whenhe becomes Hyde. Everyone has a natural tendency to do bad things. There is evidence to show that abused and tormented children will soon begin to imitate this behavior on toys, pets and eventually other people. A child who is shown love and nurturing behavior will reflect these values in his life. When given the choice to do the right thing or the bad thing, one often finds themselves straying away from the good despite the consequences that might occur. Several red flags will strike one in the face when the brain doesn’t feel like one is making a good decision. The body will act against the thought.
