Cell Phone Conditioning Procedure Paper #1 Over the last couple months or so I have started to notice more and more that my roommate Jeff has habit while using his cell phone that need to change. Jeff’s problem is that he calls other peoples cell phones late at night while we are out together downtown and not sober. These drunk dials make it very hard for me not to be annoyed with Jeff, so I have decided to come up with a procedure that will put an end to Jeff’s bad cell phone etiquette. Since Jeff’s cell phone etiquette is voluntary, I have decided to use an operant conditioning procedure to correct it. Operant Conditioning is the modification of behaviors that are voluntary and maintained based on their consequences. The instrumental behaviors that need to be changed in my procedure are the times Jeff calls and level of sobriety Jeff has when he is calling. I have realized that Jeff’s “drunk dials” come in on a fixed interval of every Friday and Saturday between the time we leave to go to the bars at 11:00 pm to the time we come back
