GEOGRAPHY 4054 A GEOGRAPHY OF WINE SPRING 2019 Wine and food speak not only to the palate, but the mind and deeper domain of the heart. Like poetry, painting, and song, they are carriers of culture and celebrants of life, returning us to the world of the senses of memory and imagination. --Anon. “Wine is one of the most civilized things in the world, and one of the material things of the world that has been brought to the greatest perfection, and which offers a greater range of enjoyment and appreciation than, possibly, any other purely sensory thing that may be purchased." -- Ernest Hemingway STANDARD STATS Geography 4054 CRN #14883 PEEPS Instructor: John Boyer 121 Major Williams 231-5805 [email protected] Office Hours: Monday on-line, 8:00 to 9:00PM. TEXTS Windows on the World, Complete Wine Course 2019 Edition ; Zraly, Kevin 2019. Available at the bookstore or on-line at Amazon. ISBN-10: 1454930462 or ISBN-13: 978-1454930464 It’s pretty cheap, like $20. Dig it: This is a brand new edition that has a whole new structure and new chapters from all the previous older editions, so you really need the brand new one this semester. Drink This Now ; by some dude named Boyer. 2015 Edition It probably sucks, but check it out anyway. It used to be cheap, but now the new print editions are wildly over-priced at bookstores. You can get a print version or a slightly sub-par digital version that is slightly cheaper from the publishers website at: https:// bit.ly/2FRlOut or there are some cheaper print copies for sale on Amazon. [OPTIONAL] Wine Folly: Magnum Edition: The Master Guide , 2018 This is an optional book that is a great resource, that I may be using to build out additional assignments. From the author: Wine Folly will help you make sense of it all in a unique infographic wine book. Designed by the creators of WineFolly.com, which has won Wine Blogger of the Year from the International Wine & Spirits

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
