Week 1 discussion (Topic A) ●●● As mentioned in the discussion preface, there are different ideas of leaders vs managers. I tend to agree that there is a nature/nurture aspect to leaders, while managers are seen more in the mundane disciplined aspect. I guess you could say anyone could be a manager, but being a leader is more of innate identity. My thought on the topic is that yes, it is possible to be both a great manager, as well as a great leader. However, I believe this is situation and/or individual dependent. If someone is a great leader, I think it would increase their management potential, only if they possess management skills as well. Leadership skills would include; creativity, positivity, intelligence, good communication and people skills. Similarly, managers must also have good communication skills, as they need to be able to properly convey directions to others. They must also have organization skills and have a level of discipline. Leaders would create the vision for policies, procedures, and so forth,
