1Benchmark – Gospel EssentialsBarbara SmithCWV 101November 30, 2018Dr. ShermanBenchmark – Gospel EssentialsChristian worldview is how people and ourselves see and interact in the world around us. Of all the choices we make, how others are treated, and how we see other worldviews are on the bases of us being Christians. Buddhists, Muslims, Christians, and Hindus are different religions that view the world differently. Each of these religions have different views on how and who created the universe and if an afterlife even exists. In addition, Christians in the world follow Jesus Christ’s, our Lord and Savior, teachings and example by showing mercy and helping others. Also, a Christian worldview helps followers of God view the world unlike other people; for example, Christians will interact and view people differently than a person who is Muslim, Buddhist, or Hindu. Furthermore, Gospel Essentials that will be covered in this paper are God, humanity, Jesus, restoration, analyzing the Christian worldview, and reflection on my own Christian worldview.GodIn my reading and what I learned in class about God is I had to read the Bible to knowhow God is described and about his kingdom. God is bigger than all the people on the Earth; heis three-in-one, the holy Trinity, and he is a living spirit. “The Holy Trinity is the mystery ofthree Persons in one God, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit” (D. Diffey, 2016). God has

For example, in 1 John 1:5, “This is the message we have heard from him and declareto you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all.” This means that God is not like any of uswho walk the earth that he is perfect and that these are “qualities possessed by God alone” (BST& Crosswalk staff, n.d.). The creation that God made were the universe and the Earth, as inweek 2 Lecture states, “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth” (Genesis 1:1).Since God existed before His creation, God has absolute rule and power over everything. Inaddition, He created the universe and earth is a certain order, for example, in the first three daysGod created light, the heavens, and the water, then dry land. Furthermore, God then created thebirds, fish, and animals to roam the land and waters, then created the sun and moon, and mademan (male and female), then rested on the last day.HumanityHuman nature is the basic behavior and characteristics that human being has. Humanity, from the Christian worldview point of view, were made from God’s image. God made humanity to look like Him, so we could live life the way God wanted us to. God made humanity to enjoy what he made on the earth, to be happy, and to live our lives to the fullest. However, when Adam
