When I was a child we lived in a small shack on the foot of a mountain in the province of San Mateo, Rizal, in the Philippines surrounded by different kinds of fruits trees and bamboo. Our house was made by bamboo, heath, empty sacks of rice and lined of some old iron sheet roof. The foundation was not strong enough. We used to put extra wood to protect the house falling on the ground. Lots of termites and weather so hot during summer and every rainy season therewere at least 3 leaks on our roof and we were afraid to blow our roof when there was a strong typhoon and there was a flood in our area. We need to gather our valuable stuff to stay somewhere safe.We did not have electricity that time we used only kerosene lamps to have light every night and we used wood to cook our simple food to be able to survive. We did not have water supplies inside the house. We only had one area to sleep, to eat, to cook and to hang out. The bathroom was outside and wasn’t very good. Our place was not safe to prevent things like burglary.
