It also includes an analysis of strengths and weaknesses of this framework and its application within organizations.The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF)TOGAF is a framework that is used by organizations in developing an enterprise architecture. TOGAF is a detailed method that supports tools that an organization can use in maintaining its information technology. The framework has been considered effective in governing, implementing, planning, and designing of the framework that is used within an organization. Since the creation of the framework, many organizations have applied the framework in creating solutions to their information technology structures, which has attained effectiveness in operations associated with the Information Technology (IT) structure. Purpose, Scope, Principles, and TypesTOGAF was developed in the early 1990s and was used as a tool for attaining effectiveness within the information technology architecture. The first version of TOGAF was presented in 1995 and the structure was based on the early structure that was developed by the Department of Defense in the United States.
