Unit 2 Part 1 Short Answer Assignment 1. Please view the media content for Milton Brown ( ) and Jimmie Rodgers ( . Briefly compare and contrast the two songs. How are they similar? How are they different? What do you like/dislike about each one? (4 points) It’s obvious that both of these songs are classics in country music. Milton Brown’s song “Keep-a-Knockin” is an upbeat, fun song that could very well pass for a country song today. The banjo is also popular in country today. Jimmie Rodgers’ “Blue Yodel No 1” is interesting taking country and mixing things up with some yodeling. I find this interesting because yodeling has become more popular today although nobody expected it to. I don’t necessarily enjoy this type of country music, but I did enjoy Milton Brown’s song. I like the upbeat new country. 2. “Big Band” music was a popular style of music in the 1920s and 1930s. Find an example of big band music on YouTube. How is it similar

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
