Ethics; moral principles that govern a person's behavior or theconducting of an activity. Garrett Hardin’s "Lifeboat Ethics" is a veryinteresting piece. Although in my opinion it actually has very little substanceor anything other than Garrett Hardin’s imperious tone and how he thinks weshould properly help the poor. "Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day; teach him how to fish andhe will eat for the rest of his days." Garrett Hardin uses this ancient proverbto say that we do not need to give these poverty stricken countries oursurplus food but we do need to teach them how to make their own. This is aninteresting theory so to speak.
