JB’S HOME REMODEL 1 INTRODUCTION 1.1 BUSINESS OBJECTIVES This project will create higher resale value and allow for a better view throughout the house for entertaining purposes. The Project manager Jamie Biskupski will help to oversee the project and timeline for completion. The project timeframe has a 12week window and will be fully funded by BMO Harris Bank. This project replaces all the cabinets, flooring and hardware from when the home was originally built. To have an open concept kitchen, a wall must be removed. In the remodel a large island with two sinks will be placed in the middle of the kitchen allowing for more cooking and counter space. The island however will be big enough to have additional seating on the opposite side of the island. New flooring, cabinets, appliances and back splash will be added into the remodel. 2 EXECUTIVE SUMMARY OF PROJECT CHARTER Creation of an open concept kitchen. This will require the removal of a wall to create an open concept. This remodel will be a complete remodel of the kitchen, including new counter tops, appliances, flooring, and back splash. Remodeling will help to make the home look more modern and while allowing for more visibility into other living spaces within the home. This makes entertaining guests much more enjoyable. Project timeline is about 12weeks and is fully funded by BMO Harris bank. 2.1 ASSUMPTIONS/CONSTRAINTS Assumptions 1. This project will require daily progress and participation from me and my husband. 2. It is assumed that no structural issues will arise Constraints 1. Structural damage or issues arise when wall is removed (wall is possibly a retaining wall). If that is the case additional money may be needed to allow for the open concept. 2. Needing additional money for the project should major issues occur. Page 2 of 14 [Insert appropriate disclaimer(s)]
