88 Steady flow and Uniform flow A large number of engineering devices operate for long periods of time under the same conditions, and they are classified as steady-flow devices Processes involving such devices can be represented reasonably well by a somewhat idealized process, called the steady-flow process , which can be defined as a process during which a fluid flows through a control volume steadily Steady-Flow Process Time: 1 pm Time: 3 pm

89 The fluid properties can change from point to point within the control volume, but at any fixed point they remain the same during the entire process. Volume, mass and the total energy content of the control volume remain constant during a steady flow process Steady-flow conditions can be closely approximated by devices such as turbines, pumps, boilers, condensers, and heat exchangers or power plants or refrigeration systems Steady-Flow Process…contd.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

I cannot even describe how much Course Hero helped me this summer. It’s truly become something I can always rely on and help me. In the end, I was not only able to survive summer classes, but I was able to thrive thanks to Course Hero.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
