For a long time, women have been treated with contempt on the basis that they are an inferior gender as opposed to their male counterparts. Catt, therefore, makes a critical opposition to the historical maltreatment and bases her argument on three profound reasons. Her first reason is entrenched in the rebellious cognitive nature of Americans. Her second reason is the need for equality based on the democratic nature of the people of the United States. Her last reason is the enfranchisement of women in governance is an American principle since independence and deserves to be passed on to oncoming generations. Women suffrage in the United States is inevitable for the creation of an all-inclusive, holistic country thatreflects the respect of humanity.Catt’s main reason which is the very first reason she bases her persuasive argument on is based on some historical background of women in the United States.
