Bonnie Basher ELM-250 May 19, 2018 Richard Flowers Classroom Procedures When it comes to choosing the right classroom management procedures, there is no right or wrong way, just what works best for the individual teacher. “It is important to let your students know what is expected of them and be consistent when enforcing the rules.” (O’Hanley, 2017) The teacher must remember to teach each procedure to their students during the first week of school. Here is a list of seven classroom management procedures that I feel will help both teachers and students have a successful year. 1) Use hand signals - I will teach my students certain hand signals for wanting to use the bathroom, needing a tissue, needing a pencil, wanting a drink, to ask a question, and when it is an emergency. I will print out the signs and hang them on the wall in front of the class so the students have a reference. This is a great way for students to let the teacher know what they need and not take time away from the teacher’s instructions.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
