Training is the process whereby people acquire capabilities to perform jobs. Strategic training can add value that simply training cannot and help reduce the thinking that training alone can solve most problems. However, all training is not effective. Investment in employee training is significant. Employee training encompasses; 31.5 hours per year, $1,208 per employee and 2% of cost of payroll. Knowledge management is the way an organization identifies and leverages knowledge to be competitive. There are four types of training; Legal or regular: complies with various mandated legal requirements (e.g, OSHA & EEO) and is given to all employees
