Studying Religion Have you ever wondered why there was multiple religions in the world? As a child growing up, I was forced to visit relatives from different states and follow his or her rules for the time being. Most of my family our religious but they believe in different religions since they all come from different backgrounds. I didn’t like going to church at first because it wasn’t appealing to me because I was confused on what religion I belong to. I will explain the Transcendental Meditations and a Traditional Western religion, I will also describe the similarities and differences between the religions and will describe the faith for the individuals that perceived to not believe in faith. The definition of religions is known as a system of moral beliefs that is derive for the search of a higher power that will bring together an individual mind, body and spiritually. The purpose of nature religions were that it focused on the ideas that Gods and other supernatural powers could be found through different experience with natural objects and events (Cline,n.d). Individuals today use Transcendental Meditations to get through a difficult day or to refresh his or her energy. This has been a useful tool growing up since there was a lot of anger I was dealing with. One technique I learn was to control my breathing since I have extreme anxiety. After taking this course I didn’t even know what transcendental meditation was until I reviewed the definition and felt this was me every day. The Transcendental meditation technique is both religious and non-religious. It is known as a new religious movement. Catholics were taught by Jesus Christ but had some differences through the church they belong to. Catholics believed in the high power of the Pope which had a lot of Christians
