ELECTROTHERAPY LAB UNIT II TENS 1. Your patient is a 24 year old who was involved in a motorcycle accident two weeks ago. X- rays revealed no fractures; however, there are nicely healing superficial lacerations on the left anterior thigh with minimal edema. The patient is complaining of pain in the left anterior thigh area at 7/10. Plan of Care: Use TENS to decrease the pain and prepare for therapeutic activities. 2. Your patient is a 66-year-old woman with severe rheumatoid arthritis in the right knee. She is having acute exacerbation and is unable to weight bear on her right lower extremity more than about 50% of the time. All movement increases her pain to 9/10. Plan of Care: Provide TENS to the right knee for pain relief to help with gait training. 3. Your patient is a 56 year old with chronic low back pain. He has had a myelogram, which is negative for disc pathology. However, xrays reveal some arthritic changes in the lumbar
