MKT 113 Company and Marketing Strategy Estée Lauder is a beauty company that was founded by Joseph Lauder and his wife Estée Lauder in 1945. Their marketing strategy is based on free samples. These samples are offered through mail, giveaways, and as gifts with a purchase; as a result of thousands of new customers. Mrs. Estée Lauder understood women and how to sell to women. This strategy is now commonly used by many beauty brands worldwide.

MKT 113 First Channel Analysis Estée Lauder sells its products through upscale department stores. These counters are found in stores, such as Macy’s, Sephora, and Lord and Taylor. Being this old-fashioned way of sale one of the most important in 2016, generating more than 46% of net sales.
