Analyzing and Managing Risk Introduction The purpose of this paper is to address how my role as organizational manager would analyze and manage risk. The following section will expand on what factors I would consider as risks with supporting examples of how I would manage it in a real world setting based on the literature content. The third section would highlight how I would categorize the levels of risk management in a direct report chain environment, with supporting examples and referenced literature content. The fourth section will address how my role as organizational manager would evaluate these risks and propose a strategic change to minimize or mitigate the risk altogether. The concluding section will summarize my observation of the supporting articles and scholarly journals and its impact to the success of managing risk within a company. Factors to consider as risk in an organization Andretta (2014), defines risk as a measurement of probability and severity of adverse effects. In an organization, there can be factors of risk to consider which when involving internal and external influence comes into play such as company stake holders, all levels of employees, and even the community where the company is positioned (Saini & Martin 2009). An example of the lack of effective risk governance (Atkinson & di Florio 2009), was the collapse of the Lehman Brothers corporation in September 2008 (Investopedia ND).
