2 MEMO- YOU DECIDE Hospital Memorandum on Heart Transplant To: Director of Medical Board From: Krystal Rojas Date: February 09, 2019 Subject: Heart transplant needs of four patients. Content: The purpose of this Memo is to inform and explain the reasoning behind the decision of chosen patient for heart transplant. I will list the process explaining the determination of the patient chosen to receive this transplant. All possibilities, risks, and possible good outcomes had to be weighed in this determination. We as healthcare professionals want to make the best decision. In doing this, moral, ethical, and professional choices played a part for the decision that has been made. According to John Stuart Mill, “Outcomes are happiness, with that happiness come consequences of the actions that brought those emotions.” (Ruggiero, 2012) That being said, deciding who received the heart transplant was a difficult choice.
