Case Studies - in depth description of a company (difficult to generalize to other areas) 15. Reliability - refers to the consistency of measurement (how shy someone is, you can test it 3 times and get similar results) 16. Validity - refers to whether the measure captures what it is expected to capture. (how often do you watch tv in a day, it varies depending on the day) 17. Correlation - measures the strength in relationship between validity and reliability 18. Datum - one single observation 19. Data - Multiple observations 20. Causation - the act of making something happen 21. Employee engagement - The degree in which employees are fully involved in and enthusiastic about their work 22. Flattening World - increase in access to information = increase innovation (ebook) 23. Triple bottom line - Evaluating against three performance criteria including economic (revenue, profit, supply and demand), social (humanitarian, responsibility, accountability), and environmental viability (Recycle, sustainability, going green) 24. Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) - i s a form of corporate self-regulation integrated into a business model. 25. Sustainable Business Practices - Practices that meet the current needs of a business without compromising the need of future generations 26. Outsourcing - having someone outside the formal ongoing organization doing work previously handled in-house.
